Tailored to your Needs
Custom Milling

Due to the smaller diameter of the Northern White Cedar tree, generally the most common widths that we make our lumber and paneling are 3” – 6” widths. With the smaller diameter of the Northern White Cedar tree, you will get a lot of variance in color and wood grains, which makes this wood an ideal choice for making furniture, paneling, or any other project.

We offer two types of
northern white cedar lumber

Choose between:

  • Tongue‑and‑groove paneling: perfect for both interior warmth and exterior charm.

  • Rough‑sawn lumber: available in custom widths (3″–6″) and thicknesses, enabling ideal fit for furniture, siding, rustic beam work, and more.

Northern White Cedar Lumber FAQ

Northern White Cedar is a durable, lightweight softwood known for its natural resistance to rot, insects, and decay. It has a warm, rustic appearance with natural color variation and grain patterns, making it ideal for both structural and decorative projects.

Our cedar is sustainably sourced from forests in Northern Minnesota near the Canadian border. The timber is responsibly harvested to maintain healthy forests and ensure long-term supply.

We primarily offer two forms of Northern White Cedar lumber. Tongue-and-groove paneling is commonly used for interior walls, ceilings, and siding, providing a clean finished look that adds warmth and texture to a space. We also produce rough-sawn lumber that maintains a more natural texture and can be milled to custom thicknesses and widths. This type of lumber works well for furniture, siding, rustic beams, and other custom woodworking projects.
